Environmental Stewardship
Cutting Edge Tree Services and Arbor Master are proud to call ourselves "stewards of the earth." Not only do we care for the trees we work on as resources, we continually make efforts to better conserve the resources we use to do business in the tree care industry.
Although tree service is a green industry by nature, not all tree services work toward sustainability through resource management. Though tree removals are profitable, they are not the only solution to many tree problems. Certified arborist Kevin Hardy often looks for ways a prospective client can save their tree instead of cut it down. When removal is inevitable, we re-use all of the waste, from free mulch and firewood given away at our headquarters to premium firewood we deliver as a service. We conserve on winter heating by burning the wood we can't sell or give away in our buildings and vehicle bays equipped with wood stoves.
That's not the only way Cutting Edge and Arbor Master conserve energy, though. In late 2014, we had solar panels installed on top of our building by All Energy Solar. Below is a link to show just how much energy we have saved to date by making our own elelctricity on site. Their monitoring app even has a fun resource showing the environmental benefits of our system in "equivalent trees planted" that we just love to watch!
