Stump Grinding
An exposed tree stump can be an unsightly on an otherwise stately landscape. Let us help restore your property to its full glory! We grind the stump, any raised area around the stump, and any exposed roots all down to approximately 4-6 inches below the soil surface. If the job requires a deeper grind, however, we are able to accommodate. Where access is limited, we can use a small self-propelled stump grinder that will fit through a 36 inch gate opening. We use a large towable grinder for larger, fully accessible stumps. To complete the job, we remove the low quality stump waste material and add rich black topsoil to fill the void left by the removal.
It is possible to plant a new tree in the same place as the old stump. For this service, we are able to grind the stump 12-18 inches below the soil surface and a width of 3 times the former stump. These dimensions will allow the newly planted tree's root system to fully establish with less chances of circling and girdling itself.
